Triggered: What Does It Take To Get You Riled Up? | First Wednesday: Promoted | Pastor Derick Amsler
Grab your seat. Let's do some work tonight.
How many of you have been enjoying our series on Sunday mornings called Promoted? Come on. Anybody? Yeah. In which we are looking at different pressures that God has placed or that God did not place, but God will use.
The Bible says that God is not the creator or the author of evil. So God doesn't create those pressures, but he will allow human natural pressures in our life to produce a substance in our faith. Would it hurt anybody's feeling if I gave you a bonus round of Promoted? Anybody? No?
Okay, then I'm going for it. I'm going for it. If we had more weeks, I would sneak this in on a Sunday morning, but I felt like God told me to save it for the Wednesday night crowd. You're ready for it. You're ready for it.
Are you ready to do some work today? Come on. Before I give you my title, I thought it would be great if you experienced the title. Tell the person next to you, get ready. Come on.
Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready. Get ready.
Get ready. Get ready. I want you to experience the title before I express the title. So here we go.
Maga. Black Lives Matter. Pro Life, Pro Choice. Israel and Palestine. You want a big one?
Vaccines. How about this one? The Dallas Cowboys. See, some of you are all right till I got there. And then you're just like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Here's the title of tonight's message. Triggered. Triggered. What does it take to get you riled up? What does it take to get you upset?
Spilled milk. Traffic. Disagreements. Inconvenience. Word tone.
An eye roll. An eye roll. An eye roll from your little girl. Come on. An eye roll.
Somebody corrects you. Somebody disagrees with you. Somebody doesn't invite you. Somebody doesn't recognize you. Somebody doesn't appreciate you.
What does it take for you to be triggered? And you know what I'm talking about? I'm talking about that word, that tone, that eye roll, that experience, that drop milk, that inconvenience in your life where you feel it. I'm not talking about you have a cognitive difference in a person's praxis or principle, construct or value or of life. I'm talking about you feel it deeply in your feeler.
Not that you just know that you disagree, but you feel the disagreement rising in your chest. You know what I'm talking about. Like, you feel it. Your restless night feels it. Your bath water that you're in there cussing them out while you taking a shower.
Your bath water feels it. Every red light in your car. Feels it. Everybody in the room feels it. Your heart rate feels it.
Let me just interrupt myself and say anger is not a sin by itself. The Bible even says that on accounts, Jesus was angry. The difference is that in his anger he did not sin. And so if you're taking notes, you can write this down already. Spiritual maturity is not emotional numbness.
The goal of spiritual growth is not to have no emotion. Rather, maturity is when your emotions know longer dictate your immediate response. Maturity is when your emotions no longer dictate or control an immediate response. Let's put some Bible on that. Proverbs, chapter 12.
Fools. That's a harsh language in the Bible. Tell the person next to you, don't be one of those. Come on, let them know, don't be one of those. Don't be one of those fools show their annoyance.
Here's our key words at once. So it's not that if you have an annoyance, you're a fool. But a fool that has an annoyance will show it at once. But the prudent overlook an insult. Our words at once.
You know what I'm talking about. Something happens, they feel it now at once. Everybody feels it. You have that person in your life that if they're thinking it, their face betrays them. You know I'm talking about their face.
Has not learned to be discreet concerning their. Their emotions. They do not. Their attitude has not yet figured out how to camouflage their attitude. You know what I'm talking about.
Everybody's got somebody like that in their life. And if you're not thinking of somebody, we could be thinking of you. We could be thinking of you. I didn't know that was a problem. Pastor And a fool shows their annoyance at once.
But the prudent overlook an offense. Here's the idea of that passage. There's no space between the annoyance and the reaction. We all handle emotional triggers differently. Some of us blow up, some of us shut up, some of us rage out, others of us self deprecate.
Some of us will say the thing that we felt like needs to be said, and other people won't say anything at all. Others of you, you don't blow up or shut up. You just keep the score and you turn into Prince Petty or Princess Petty and you're just waiting to pounce as soon as the opportunity gets. Oh, I wish they would. I wish they would.
Matter of fact, you even got a Pinterest board coming up with a plan of vengeance.
We all handle emotional triggers differently. Some people will tell the person that they're offended with directly, other people will tell everybody else but the person how they feel. All different responses, the same root question. What does it take to trigger you?
Let's ask another question. Why do we get triggered? Why do we get triggered if God wants to build and form our faith to make us into the image and the likeness of his son? The question on the floor is not what does it take to bother you? You already know that.
The whole room knows that. The deeper question that I want us to have the courage to answer for our formation and the peace of our soul and the well being of our house, why do we get triggered the way we do? Sometimes the size of our reaction simply tells us that something internally hasn't been healed yet. Let me give you some observations. Somebody criticizes you, they give you negative feedback.
The criticism will bump up against an insecurity of inadequacy. An insecurity of inadequacy that you don't feel like you're enough. You don't feel like you're good enough. It's bled into comparison games. So now a criticism has bumped up into a wounded child or inner person that just says you're not enough inadequate.
If you're being overlooked. You weren't invited, they rejected, they didn't get back to you quick enough. Being overlooked can bump into a spirit of rejection or abandonment. A small inconvenience. I'm taking a road trip and now there's construction on 81.
And by the way, if you're still getting frustrated that there's construction on 81, I hate to break it to you, that's going to be there till Jesus comes back. You might as well just put it in. You might as well put it in maps. It ain't never going to change. Boo.
And a small inconvenience cause a major disruption in your spirit is because it's bumping into maybe something that was instable unstable in your life. And now it's like, why can't anything be predictable? If it's not predictable, I don't feel safe. I'm just trying to point out our reactions bump into some level of insecurity on the inside of us. Somebody else's success.
This is where jealousy comes from. Their success triggers my scarcity mindset that there's not enough blessings of God to go around. So if they get a potential piece of the pie, it's one less piece that I can get. I just want to remind somebody, God doesn't own just the pie. He owns the bakery.
And there's more where that came from. So you might as well just cheer your brother or sister on when they succeed because he's the God who gives anyway.
What in you did they or the inconvenience bump into? That's why you can overreact in a moment and wish that you handled things differently. It's because you're not just reacting to the moment. You're reacting to 20 years of build up emotions that's never been dealt with. And sometimes it's not a wound at all.
We gotta make sure that we take this into consideration. It may not be a wound, it may be pride, you know, like I know nobody wants to talk about that, but we get angry because we want our way. We get defensive because we just hate being wrong. Or if we just said it, you know, if we said the quiet part out loud, maybe we're calling it disrespect, when really we just wanted to be treated more importantly than the way they made us feel. It had more to do with a wounded soul wanting to feel important than it is anything about what they said.
Watch this. Here's my point. The trigger did not create what's happening inside you. It just revealed that something still has access.
We see this in the life and the biography of King Saul, right? David, the young shepherd boy, kills Goliath, literally saving not only the fellow warriors lives and their family, but the entire nation. He kills Goliath, Israel wins. Everybody should be celebrating. David should be on NBC, abc, lmnop.
He should be on all the news outlets. But some women come out of their house waving banners and shaking a tambourine and beating on some drums and they just wrote a Spotify song quickly. And the song isn't, you know, like it doesn't even have a bridge or a chorus, y'. All. It's just one line.
It says Saul has slain his thousands and David is tens of thousands. That's it. No big deal. It's just a line, y'. All.
There's not even verse two on that thing. It's just. That's it. Saul has land his thousands or David has. Saul has slain his thousands.
David is tens of thousands and Saul erupts. Nobody attacked Saul. Nobody discredited Saul. Nobody said anything negative about Saul. Nobody even wanted Saul's chair in the throne room.
Nobody tried to take Saul's 1,000 away. They just said David had 10,000. Let me pause here for a station identification. Saul, that's still a big deal for a warrior to kill 1,000 people, to have 1,000 people accredited to his account, that's a big deal. Y' all give it up for Saul.
That's a big deal. A thousand people. You go Saul. But the fact that somebody said something else about somebody else having more victories than him. Watch this.
The song didn't deposit the insecurity. It just found out what insecurity still rests inside.
They have credited David with tens of thousands. Saul says, but me with only a thousand. What more can he get but the kingdom itself? In other words, I know that now the people want David to sit on the chair. The song didn't put insecurity there.
The song found what was already in there. It just found what it could bump into and get a reaction that will make him angry towards God, other people and himself. They have credit to David with tens of thousand, but me with only a thousand. The next verse says, from that time on, Saul kept a close eye on on David. If you keep reading this chapter tonight, and I hope you will, you'll find out that Saul then starts walking around with a spear in his hand, ready to pin David to the wall.
Watch this. That's why we have to be if we're trying to grow in our spiritual formation, we have to be suspicious of our own emotions. If I don't deal with what's happening in me, I'll make an enemy out of those God sent to bless me. If I don't deal with what's happening in me, I will make an enemy out of those God sent to bless me. And before you know it, somebody says something, does something, reacts in a certain way and it bumps up against something in me.
And now my wife gets the spear. My kids get the spear. My church gets the spear. My colleagues get the spear. Not because they necessarily did anything wrong.
They just happened to be in the room in which something bumped up in me. And so the enemy in me came out of me, forcing me to see them as the antagonist.
And if my insecurity shows its annoyance at once, the Bible says I am a fool. Proverbs 16:32 Better a patient person than a warrior. Better than a patient person than someone who always has a comeback and a clap back and a smart aleck remark. Better a patient person than a warrior with self control than one who has the ability to take a city. Here's what Solomon is saying.
We want the city. We want promotion. We want blessings, we want favor. We want greater wealth, greater influence, greater responsibility, greater position, greater recognition. But God is more interested in whether we can govern ourself than if we take more ground.
Because promotion in your life doesn't mean fewer triggers. It means more of them. I don't know if anybody's ever told you, but the blessing and the burden weigh the same. What comes with more blessings? Usually more people.
What comes with more people? More opinions. What comes with more opinions? More unmet expectations. More disappointment.
More argument. The blessing and the burden weigh the same. Galatians 5:22 says that the fruit of the Spirit, the byproduct of growing in our relationship with God and allowing the Holy Spirit to form our life, will include attributes like love and joy and peace and patience. Now, I don't know about you, but I tend to be extremely patient when everybody does what they're supposed to do, right? Like, I'm so kind and loving when nobody acts stupid.
But the moment somebody starts acting like a fool, that's when these attributes get tested in my life. And what the Bible is saying is in James, chapter one, the testing of our faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish his work so that you may be mature. That's what we're after. And complete in every good way.
Do you know how God deposits maturity in our life? And things like love and peace and joy and kindness and forbearance in our life? God deposits these things in our life through developing them throughout our life. So what do I need to do when I need to slow my inner narrative down so I can respond with more Christ likeness? Are you ready?
You've heard it said, get a grip. This is get a gap. Get a gap. Tell the person next to you, get a gap. Get a gap.
Get a gap. Get a gap. Let's listen to the counsel of the Bible. Letter G. Let's use it as an acronym. You need to get honest.
Get honest. Why or what am I feeling? Don't lie about it. Be honest about it. What am I feeling?
The Bible says, search me, God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thought. What am I feeling? Am I angry? Am I jealous?
Am I embarrassed? Am I frustrated? Do I feel disrespected? What is it in me that I'm feeling? So that we can letter A, we can ask a deeper question.
What did this touch in me? Proverbs says, above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. So something outside of you is going to bump into a level of insecurity on the inside of you. And whatever it bumps, it flows. So we ask a deeper question.
What did that touch? Fear, rejection, insecurity, pride, control, an old wound, an offense, and then letter P. We practice the way of the Spirit. What is God forming in me right now is a beautiful, deep, convicting, challenging, forming, maturing question. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. So the God gap doesn't mean that you never respond to a situation.
It just means that you're going to let the Holy Spirit speak before your emotions talk. You're going to let the Holy Spirit move first before you react. You don't respond from the moment themselves. You respond from who you are becoming in Christ. And then we practice the way of the Spirit.
Lord, what are you producing in this moment right now? Forgiveness, patience. What are you doing that I can be a part of it? And so if we wanted to tag it then to our series, that's what promotion feels like.
Where you no longer respond out of anger or bitterness or resentment. You're no longer characterized by the most witty clapback, but by someone who is marked by the forming work of the Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self control.
But this is the most important part you'll ever hear me say right here. Everything you've heard me say thus far. It's biblical, but it's doable without the Holy Spirit. I know people who don't even love God, who live a calm life. But a calm life and self control doesn't mean it closes the gap between you and your Savior.
Watch this. The gospel is not that we live calm lives. The good news of Jesus answers the deepest problem and angst of our life that a calm spirit or more self controlled behavior can never fix on its own. That sin separates us from God. So Jesus came for us.
He died the death that our sin deserves and rose again so we could be forgiven, reconciled in our relationship with a pure holy God and we could be made new here on earth as we will be in heaven one day. You can heal every wound in your life that we talked about, but still be in need of a Savior. This is what separates this from being a self help talk tonight. This is what makes this a uniquely gospel centric message. Sin at its core is our greatest problem.
That we need something outside of us to come in on the inside of us and to eradicate our sin nature in which all those triggers are responding to. We need the cross of Christ to come in and not just heal wounds, but to transform our life out from the old into the new. The difference we have is that self improvement can change our behavior. But Jesus transforms our life and therefore our eternal address which then brings us to baptism. And why baptism is so powerful.
These guys and gals over here, they're not getting in the water to announce, I'm trying harder. From this day forward, they're declaring, I'm dead to sin, alive to Christ. So the baptism water, this tank over here, it represents a grave that we are dead to, a particular mindset and lifestyle. That said, I'm a lord of my life, I'm boss of my life. I'll do what I want to do.
I'll fix myself if I have to. No, we're dead to sin. It's a watery grave. And when we come out, it's a reminder of the resurrection of Jesus. The Bible says that the.
That the same power that raised Jesus from the grave lives in us. So we're dead to sin, but now we're alive, made new, resurrected in a relationship with Christ. Out with who I used to be, in with who God formed me to be, created me to be, and still wants me to be. It doesn't mean that they're going to live perfect lives. We're all on a faith journey in which the Holy Spirit is perfecting our life as we walk in a relationship with him day after day.
The Bible calls that the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit or sanctification. We're dead to sin, alive with Christ. And it's a declaration. With God's help, I choose him to sit in the driver's seat of my life. And I like to look at them and just celebrate and think about this.
What's true of the natural is sometimes true of the supernatural. As water washes off their face and their arms and their hands, as they celebrate the grace of God on their life, so too are our sins washed away. Come on, are you ready? If this is your first time with us around here, we like to go crazy at baptism. But watch this.
It's not for show and tell. It's actually biblical. The Bible says that when one sinner repents and gives their life to Christ, all of heaven rejoices, throws a block party because it's the greatest news and celebration and declaration the world has ever seen. So we cheer for them, we celebrate for them. We lose our mind because we believe it is the greatest miracle of a lifetime that God would have mercy on somebody like us and invite us into his family.
Come on, are you ready? Hop upon your feet. I've got some people who are going to share some of their testimonies and we're going to celebrate with them.
Yeah, so we got Raven here. Raven said God has completely changed my heart and mind, breaking the chains of addiction, sin, and the lies that once held me captive. Through the Holy Spirit, I'm learning to surrender, to trust God and to live fully for Jesus. I'm being baptized because I love Jesus and I want to grow closer to him. I want to follow his example.
I want to be led by the Holy Spirit and let my baptism be a witness of what he has done in my life. Come on. That's amazing. Come on.
All right, up next, we have Aiden, who says, I accepted Jesus as my savior and believe he died on the cross for our sins. I want to get baptized to continue living my life for Jesus. Let's go.
This is amazing.
Come on, church. Now we get it. We get to celebrate. Heather. Heather writes, I was broken.
Christ spoke to me and came into my life. This month, I'm celebrating two years of sobriety. Come on. I want to be baptized, share my faith, because I know my identity is daughter of the King. Come on.
That's amazing.
Amen.
Next up, we have Evelyn. She says, I want to show my love and appreciation for God. And here's a sentence that says a lot more than just a few words. He got me through hard times.
Come on. Adam says, before finding Jesus, I was struggling with addiction and legal troubles. I chose to accept him because I'm ready to leave my past behind me and walk in a new life of freedom. I want to be baptized as an outward sign of washing of Jesus, washing away my sins, and I want to live a new life with him. Come on, church.
All right, Anna. Anna says I grew up in church, but after deep loss and brokenness, I walked away from God and turned to drugs and alcohol. For years, I blamed him and tried to fill an emptiness that I couldn't escape. When my family began attending xr, God started restoring my life and gave me the strength to pursue sobriety. Today I am sober, growing in my faith, and proud to declare that Jesus is my Savior.
I want to be baptized and let the world know that Jesus saved my life many times and carried me even when I did not believe.
Jim says, I accepted Jesus when I was a teenager, but when I transitioned a Christian school to a public school, I got in with the wrong crowd and went down the wrong path. He says, I want to be baptized because I know it's time to get right with Jesus. Yes, it is, Jim. Come on.
Emily says, after losing my dad, I searched for happiness in temporary places and made unhealthy choices. When I began attending church with friends, I realized the hope and fulfillment I was searching for could only be found in Jesus. I want to be baptized to publicly declare my faith in Jesus and my commitment to follow Him.
Aaron says, I accepted Jesus as a young age, but I lost my faith in early childhood after experiencing the loss of a loved one. In recent years, Jesus has showed up in my life every step of the way. And through his grace, I have regained my faith. I'm being baptized to affirm my faith and my commitment to Jesus Christ. Come on.
Brittany says, In January of 2025, I decided to attend a service at Crossroads. The experience was unlike any church service I had attended before and I immediately felt a sense of belonging. I felt called to begin building a relationship with Jesus. My husband and I started praying together every night and making God the center of our lives. We lost our two day old son Atlas in May and my faith has carried me through the most challenging time of our lives.
God has been with me every step of the way and I could call the baptized and expression of my faith and my life that's fully His.
Next up we got Julie. Julie says, before accepting before accepting Jesus as Lord, I felt completely lost and struggled with depression that affected every area of my life. Even though I didn't know how to pray or have a relationship with God, I began asking him to heal me. I want to be baptized to show the world that once I truly start to fall in the Lord, I noticed every that even every disappointment in my life felt like a blessing from Him. I'm ready to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ.
Come on. Come on, Julie.
Brittany. Brittany says, before Jesus, I carry deep hurt and search for peace and purpose on my own. As I began seeking God, I discovered his love and grace. I surrendered my life to him and he continues to transform my heart. I want to be baptized today as a public declaration of my faith in Jesus and my commitment to follow him for the rest of my life.
Next up, we got Journey says I. I knew God existed, but I wasn't truly living for Him. Through the trials and changes in my life and seeing how God transformed my husband, I realized that I need him now. I want to follow Jesus, grow in prayer and live a life that honors Him. I want to be baptized as an outward sign of abandoning my sins and beginning of new life with Jesus. Come on.
That's amazing. Come on.
Sandra says, after losing my grandmother, I struggled my faith for many years. Then someone showed me that I could turn to Jesus with anything. I came to trust him as my Lord and Savior. He has become my Rock I want to be baptized to publicly declare my faith in Jesus and my complete trust in him.
Emmanuel says, I spent much of my life struggling to get by. Someone reminded me that even though even through my struggles, God has always been there, providing what I needed at the right time. That made me realize I wanted to accept Jesus into my heart. And he writes, I want to be baptized to publicly declare my faith and my devotion to Jesus Christ. That's amazing.
Come on, Emmanuel.
Tyler Wright. I grew up knowing God, but as I got older, I went my own way. When my son became critically ill and was in a coma, I cried out to God in prayer. When my son recovered, I knew God was real and chose to surrender my life to him. I want to be baptized and publicly declare that Jesus is king over my life.
What? Adeline writes simply, I want to get closer to Jesus and to follow in his footsteps. Come on. That's amazing, Adeline. Come on.
Emma writes, I responded to an altar call at XR Youth one night and accepted Jesus in my heart. I'm ready to follow Jesus and fully trust him. I want to be baptized, to take the next step, to go public with my faith.
Elijah writes, when I was younger, my aunt and my uncle introduced me to being a Muslim. Through the years and my own experiences, I have learned that Jesus is the way I've accepted him to my heart and for the rest of my life. And I am ready to renew, to be renewed by the water. Come on, church. That's amazing.
Come on. Elijah.
Hollis tells us that when I was younger, I felt lost and alone. I started going to a Christian school and learned about God's grace and his gift of eternal life. When I was six years old, I decided to give my life to Jesus and live for Him. I want to be baptized to show others about my decision to follow Jesus.
My life was difficult growing up, and I often felt like I didn't have a place to belong. But when I found Jesus and beginning attending Crossroads Church, I found hope, I found purpose, and I found a place like home. Now I trust Jesus with my life. I want to be baptized because I want to publicly declare that I have chosen to follow Jesus. Come on, Makai.
Come on.
Come on. One more time. Can we thank God for His grace, his kindness, his unfailing love?
Oh, you know, it never gets old. Some of those guys, we've been praying for 30 years. Some of them we've been praying for six months. What are you praying for? Who are you praying for?
Maybe you're here and you don't have a personal relationship with God. Know this. Somebody's been praying for you. You may not have had God on your mind, but he's been thinking about you. And in his love for you, he's given a burden from somebody else to be thinking and praying about you.
And what an opportunity for you to say, I want to be dead to the way I used to be as well. I want to accept what Jesus did on the cross for you tonight.
So here's what we're talking about. What does it mean to give your life to Jesus?
It means give your life to Jesus. The recognition is this. Watch this, watch this. It's the ABCs. It's not childish.
But we have to come to Christ with a childlike spirit of trust. A, admit that I'm a sinner in need of a savior. We can all do that. Watch this. If you've sinned in the room, raise your hand.
I'll go first.
We A, admit that we've not lived to the perfect standard of God's holiness. We've all done that. The Bible says everybody. B, we believe in our heart that we can't fix ourselves. We need somebody to save us from our sins.
The only person qualified to ever be that perfect substitute to die for us is God himself. So God so much loved the world. He so much loved you. He gave his one and only son again gift to you when you weren't even thinking about him on Christmas. So that whosoever would believe that he is that gift from God to save you from your sin.
Believe it in your heart. You will be forgiven of your sins and he will be your God. A, admit you sin. B, believe in your heart that Jesus is the savior of your life, the Savior of the world. And then C, we confess with our mouth or with our our life.
I'm on his team. That he is Lord. He is boss of our Life. It's the ABCs. And then D, we declare.
We just go live it out. We live it out, but we can't live out what we do not confess in our heart that he is Lord. And so maybe you're here tonight and you would say, I don't have a relationship with God quite like that. Or maybe you would say, like some of their testimonies that they shared. I did at one certain point, but something happened in my life and I don't right now.
You want to change that? Let's do something about that. If you believe in your heart that this is your moment, let us celebrate you. Well, I don't Know what people are going to think? Who cares what people think?
There comes a point in time where we've got to decide. Whose life are you living for the applause of the crowd? You're going to live a Saul mentality? Your whole life life? Or are you going to say, you know what?
I know that. I know that. I know this is my moment. God's been working on my heart. Let me respond to the prayers that people have been praying over me.
I can admit that I'm a sinner. I believe in my heart Jesus is Lord. I'm ready to give him my life. So this is my moment of the declaration I choose to offer him me. What does it mean to give Jesus your life?
You surrender your life to him as much as you know how to do in a moment, and you allow God to help you take your next step. Is that you, Pastor? I'm waiting for you to tell everybody to bow their head, close their eyes. Let's not do that. Let's not do it.
Let's be proud about our decisions. Let's be brave in our decisions to follow Jesus. If we can't do it in a room full of people who we just celebrated, did it publicly in, in a tangible think, then we'll never live it out at Procter and Gamble tomorrow. We know that. Are you ready to give your life to Jesus?
If you currently don't have a relationship with Christ, but you're saying, today's my day. I surrender all to him. Will you just put your hand in the air? We just want to celebrate with you. Come on, come on, come on, Come on, Everybody.
Greatest decision of your life. This is the only decision that will echo throughout all of time, space, and eternity. For this reason, God sent his only son to die for you. So congratulations. And I just want you to know that God loves you so much.
This is not the finish line. It's the starting point. Your next step step is you got to tell somebody as soon as I pray and dismiss. There's going to be some people down here to pray for you. We call them prayer partners simply because they're going to partner with you in prayer and they're just going to pray for you.
And then they want to give you a Bible if you don't have one. Maybe answer some questions if you have some, or if you would like, give us your information. And I promise you we're not going to spam you. We just want to send you one connection point. Hey, this may be your next, next step to help you in your spiritual journey.
Because I don't know about you, but I've got questions about life, God in the Bible. But God loves us so much. He gave us that church family I was talking about earlier to walk with us. Let's see, confess with our mouth that he is Lord. Everybody can repeat after me in celebration, in partnership of those who raised their hand.
Dear Jesus, thank you for loving somebody like me. Thank you for the cross, thank you for the resurrection, thank you for the invitation of a relationship that I can have with you. I ask that you would forgive me of my sins, come into my life, make me new. I choose to follow you in Jesus name. And everybody said, Let me end on a question.
I don't know if this is going to work. It may not work. So just make up something behind me. But it may work. It may work.
If I say out of everything that we've just witnessed tonight, everything that you thought about the greatness of God earlier today in worship, if I would say in remembrance of all of that, if I would say God is good, you would say. And if I say it all the time, you'd say, I'll ask again. If I say God is good, you. If I say all the time.
If I say God is good, you say all the time. I say all the time, you say God is good. If I say God is good, how good has he been? How good.
