What Do You Do When You Feel Outnumbered? | When Heaven Meets Tuesday | Pastor Keyon Williamson

Well, we are in the middle of a series called When Heaven Meets Tuesday. Oh, when the life of Jesus collides with yours. As Pastor Derek has been preaching massively through this series, he has pointed out that psychologists say that Tuesday is the most anxiety and stress producing day of the week. I realized that psychologists actually named it. They named it the Tuesday slump.

Right? Meaning you mustered up enough faith and will to get through Monday, but now it's Tuesday and you got to go back to work, the kids got to go back to school. The weekend is gone. But here's the whole premise of this whole series, that God isn't just with you. No, no, no.

He goes before you. So your Tuesday does not surprise God, your Tuesday does not shock God. No, no, no. He's already in the room. He's already in the meeting.

He's already in the situation, and he's inviting you to catch up with what he is doing. So I want to introduce you to someone who knows Tuesday, someone who is overwhelmed, someone who is outnumbered in the first half of scripture, known as the old Testament. In First Kings, chapter 18, where we're going to be situated today, there is a man by the name of Elijah. Right? Elijah is a prophet or a mouthpiece and a leader for God here on earth.

And Elijah's story in First Kings chapter 18 that we're stepping into is a moment where the pressure is high, the culture is confused, and the people of God feel overwhelmed. Israel was going through a drought. Oh, both literally a drought and spiritually a drought. The king at the time named Ahab was leading them in a ritualistic worship to a false God named baal. They were practicing idolatry, which is worshiping a false God.

His queen Jezebel was literally out here trying to kill the prophets of God, the leaders for God here on earth. In the middle of all of this that's going on, God calls Elijah to the top of Mount Carmel for a showdown against the false prophet of baal. I want us to throw up this picture today. So I literally want you to picture this on one side, you got Elijah on top of this mountain. He set up an altar so that God could respond, but so have the prophets of baal.

You've got one man standing in obedience against hundreds of people. No, not surrounded by support, not surrounded by a lot of people. He looks to be on his own. Let me tell you, when you're with God, when you're standing in obedience and faithfulness to God, you are never alone. So he has literally won against hundreds.

And this leads us to our tension this weekend. What do you do when you feel outnumbered? What do you do when you feel outnumbered? Verse 36, 37 says, at the time of the sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed. Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and I have done all these things at your command.

Answer me, Lord. Answer me so these people will know that you, Lord, are God and that you are turning their hearts back again. Let's pray today. Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you. We thank you for this body known as the church.

Lord, we are the church of Jesus Christ and the gates of hell will never prevail against it. So do something true, Speak something new to our hope and our liberating king. And all of God's people said a strong amen and Amen. So before the fire falls, we see Elijah do something. We see Elijah pray before the big moment.

He invited God in. See, our first point today is to get heaven's attention. Get heaven, Heaven's attention. When you feel outnumbered, when you feel overwhelmed, when you are running the kids to school, you have the big work project to. You still have to make it to small group.

And it feels like everyone is asking something of you. I want to tell you today to invite heaven and you got to get heaven's attention. See, I love the prayer that Elijah prays because he teaches us two things. The first thing he teaches us is God. You get the worship.

He teaches us something foundational about Tuesday. Worship comes first. Oh, before Elijah asked for fire, before he calls for a miracle, before he seeks the wind of the week. He says, lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel. Elijah's first instinct is not to say fix this, but it's to say, God, let you be seen in this.

Not make me look good, but God, show them who you are. And that's the heart posture he models for us. God, you get the worship. Because prayer always has to begin with surrender. See, it starts with acknowledging, like, lord, you're back in the center.

Lord, you are God. You are the source, you are the strength, you are the sustainer. And I want everything in my life to be reflect that. So Elijah's prayer becomes our prayer this weekend. God, let it be known that you are God.

Through my decisions, through my attitude, through my conversations, and through my reactions. God, even when I'm running through a busy day or carrying an overwhelming load, let people look at me and not just see My stress or my schedule. Let them see you through me when I speak. Let them hear grace when I'm under pressure. Let them sense peace when I'm tired.

Let them witness your strength holding me up when I'm on the edge. Let the love rise up in me. So Elijah reminds us that prayer is not just asking God to move around us or for us, but it's inviting God to move through us. So God, you get the worship. The second thing we learned is God.

You get the outcome, he says, so these people will know that you are turning their hearts back again. See, Elijah is at meeting. He has limits. The prophet of God, the one with access to God, says he has limits. Elijah saying, God, I can't change people.

I can't fix everything. I can't manage every burden. But I know you can, Jesus. You can turn heart. You can move the pieces.

You can handle what I cannot. And this is where our Tuesday begins to shift. When we stop trying to control the outcome and we start trusting the God who already goes before us. Because here's the truth this weekend. You don't need to do more for God.

You just need to do more with God. Because doing more for God puts the pressure on you. Doing more with God turns the pressure and puts it on him. And how many people know God can handle that pressure? See, when you try to do more for God, you end up exhausted.

Trying to perform, trying to impress, trying to prove that you're spiritual enough, that you're strong enough, that you're disciplined enough. But when you start doing life with God. Oh, everything changes. Your assignments don't feel as heavy. Your responsibilities don't feel as lonely.

Your burdens don't feel as impossible. Because with God means you're carrying it together. With God means you're praying through decisions instead of panicking through them. With God means you're asking his wisdom before you rush into the next moment. With God means you're inviting his presence into your ordinary Tuesday.

Whether that be a class or a practice or a conversation or a job or a relationship, you're inviting God into the outcome. So doing more with God is the difference between striving and surrendering, between carrying and being carried, between burning out and burning bright. See, God isn't looking to you to do more tasks. He's looking for you to take more steps beside him. Because when you do life with God.

Oh, not ahead of him, not behind him, not separate from him. That's when heaven starts showing up. In an ordinary Tuesday. Oh, I grew up in a single parent household. And my mom is honestly, like, my spiritual hero.

And if you look at statistics, it says my life should have turned out very differently, right? And I remember growing up, and I was at the age where I was a big Orlando Magic basketball fan. Come on, you guys can't judge me too harshly because the Wizards are your team and their records look similar. Come on, somebody, right? You can't judge me, right?

I was an Orlando Magic basketball fan, and this was still in that time where some people still had cable and we kept cable so I could watch the games. I remember at nighttime, I'd be watching the Orlando Magic games, but I hear my mom going to her room, and she would turn worship music up really, really loud. I didn't know if, like, she had trouble hearing or if she was trying to get me saved every day. You know, I didn't know what it was. But I don't know if you've ever tried to watch a sporting event and then you start to hear things like dead things come alive.

It's a little weird, right? It's a little weird. And so my mom would go into her room and she would invite heaven. She would get heaven's attention. She would pray and praise and worship.

What I didn't know in this season of life is that we were making it on a prayer and a paycheck. As she was transitioning careers, things got really tight. And I saw her invite heaven. And I want to tell somebody this weekend, I came all the way from Duke University to tell you to invite God in. In dark moments, invite God in.

In your good moments, invite God in. In your hard moments, invite God in. In your anxious moments, invite God in. In your mountaintop moments, invite God in. In your valley moments, invite God in.

It's time to send an invitation to God. It's time to send an invitation to God. In this season of my life, I get the opportunity to be at Duke University Divinity School studying Bible and theology and all these amazing things. When I moved to Durham, North Carolina, from Orlando, first I was like, there's nothing to do here. Second, I met some really cool people in August, met some of my classmates, are really cool.

And so I want to tell you a story about one of my classmates, but I didn't get his permission, so we're going to change his name, so let's call him Brian. But I do want to warn all my classmates you are friends with the preacher, so all your stories could end up becoming my story, right? I have a friend named Brian, and recently his birthday passed and we Were catching. I was like, man, how'd your birthday go? He was like, it was pretty good.

I was like, oh, wait, how are things going with that girl? That can be a really dangerous question, right? How are things going with that girl? There was this girl that worked at the local grocery store, and I can tell you he was really into her because he went to the grocery store every day, right? No, we don't live in a medieval society where you need to go get eggs every morning, right?

So he would go every day. And I was like, how's it going with that girl? He was like, not good at all. I was like, uh, oh, what did I walk myself into? I'm like, I'm going to have to be a therapist right here.

He was like, she didn't tell me happy birthday. I said, fair. All right, fair. She didn't say Happy birthday. Then 30 seconds, 45 seconds of awkward silence goes by because I started to begin to think to myself, I'm like, wait, did she know it was your birthday?

He was like, well, I don't know. I was like, well, did you tell her it was your birthday? He was like, nope. And it was in this moment that I realized whether it's a birthday party or a wedding or a church anniversary dinner, people can only show up if you invite them. Yeah.

Yeah. God is ahead of you. But he still wants you to invite him into your Tuesday. He still wants you to invite him into your situation. He still wants an invitation to the party.

So if I won't invite, he can't invade. And I don't know about you, but I want God to invade every area of my life. I need him to invade every situation in my life. I need God to invade my. My life.

So if I won't invite, he can't invade. And the way to invite is to get heaven's attention. To get heaven's attention. We continue on in the story. Verse 39 says, well, then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the soil, and also lift up the water and the trench.

We see God didn't send sparks, he sent fire. He consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, the soil, and even the water in the trench. So after we get heaven's attention, we then get heaven's power. See, we see God show up in this moment. We see God answer his invitation.

And this is the power of God. He overwhelms what is overwhelming you. Whatever feels too heavy, whatever feels too big, whatever feels too hard, whatever feels too difficult, whatever feels like Tuesday is never too big for the one and true God. See, I told you that they were having a showdown. So you got the prophets of BAAL on one side, and you got Elijah on another side.

And the prophets of BAAL go first. They do all their dances and their rituals, and they do all their things. There's no response because the moment is always too big when you serve a false God. But then we see the one and true God respond. He accepts his invitation.

Can I tell you today that we serve a one and true God? And I believe he still responds. He still answers. He still shows up. So when heaven power shows up, the thing that looked unmovable becomes moved.

The thing that looked like it could never change becomes changed in his presence. And you and I actually have something that the people during Elijah's time did. You and I have direct access to God. See, during Elijah's time, you had to be a special person at a special place, even during a special time of the year, to get access to God, right? But because of what Jesus did, when he came down to earth, lived a perfect life.

At the end of that life, he died a death that you and I deserve. But not to spoil the Christian super bowl, he got up, right? And the good news is, when he got up, it says that the veil in the temple was torn. And the veil being torn is synonymous with God, given His access to everyone. So now you and I have direct access to God, and we have direct access to his presence.

And through his presence, we have access to joy, we've got access to love, we got access to peace, we've got access to hope, we've got access to power. We've got access to his protection. Come on. How many people know that? You got access.

You've got access to. To the One who built the Earth. He created the stars and the moon and oceans, and you have access to Him. You know what I found, though? Access only matters if you use it.

Access only matters if you use it. During the pandemic, I was going to check the mail. Oh, you remember the pandemic? You were doing whatever you could to get out of that living room, right? You would go take out the trash twice a day.

You would go check the mail twice a day. You would go walk a dog. I promise, we didn't have a dog. I would go find a dog to walk. Like we were doing whatever we could to get out of the house.

I went to go check the mail, and I signed our WI FI bill. I said, well, good Lord, why are we paying so much for WI fi. So my mom was like, well, Keon, I don't know. I was in Walmart and I signed up for something. How many people know that is a dangerous thing to say?

I was in Walmart and I signed up for something. Like, you signed up to give blood and you didn't know. You bought a house and you didn't know because you were in Walmart and you signed up for something. So I give them a call. I said, spectrum, why are we paying so much for WI Fi?

Well, they said, you're not just paying for WI fi. You actually have four phone lines. You actually got a cable package. They listed off four to five things that we had access to. But access only matters if you use it.

And notice this. Elijah didn't make the fire fall. He didn't force it. He couldn't produce it. He simply invited God into the moment.

Elijah invited Heaven and he used his access, so he got Heaven's power. And Heaven's power is not something you achieve. It's something you receive. See, this achievement system is something that the world teaches us to live by. We actually learned it early on in school, right?

You get a report card or a progress report, whatever they call it. They print out this sheet of paper and it has grades on it. And they always give it to you on Friday to mess up your weekend, right? They never give you the progress report or the report card on Wednesday. They always give it to you on Friday.

Like, no ice cream for you this weekend, right? And depending on how you do on that report card, depends what you see. If you do well, your teacher gives you a shout out in class, your parents put it on the cupboard or that's real Southern, the cupboard, right? They put it on the refrigerator, right? And they want all your jealous cousins to see it when you come by, that you got all A's, right?

But if you didn't do so well, that report card mysteriously disappears. It's because the world teaches us to live by our achievements. Everything is built around performance. You hit the mark and you get the prize. So we grow up thinking that's how everything else works.

But let me tell you, that is not how the kingdom of God works. Because God's presence, God's power, is not a reward for perfect performance. It is literally a gift of grace. Meaning you can never earn it. Meaning you can never deserve it.

And yet he still gives it. So God does not only show up when you hit the mark, he does not disappear when you miss it. He shows up every time you need Him. See, the world is constantly asking you to produce more, to perform more, right? Produce more results, produce more content, take more ground, conquer more territory.

And there is time in scripture where Israel gets instructions from God to take more territory. But in this season, God was asking them to be more available. God is not asking you to produce more. He is asking for more availability, more space for him to show up, more openness to his presence, more room in your Tuesday for him to move. See, God shows up when you hit the mark and when you miss the mark.

See, growing up, I played Little League baseball, right? There's two types of baseball players in grow up. Little league and travel ball, right? Travel ball are like, they're in. They're going to be in the majors one day.

Little League is like, we're having fun, right? And so I played Little League, right? Winter Garden, Little League. And I would have one or two outcomes. I would either strike out or I would hit it pretty far.

There was no in between, right? And I mean, when I say strike out, I mean it was bad. Like, it was like, did you even see the ball? My defense was like, I didn't have glasses yet, right? And I needed them, right?

But in baseball, my coach told me, he said, keon, you're a swing for the fences type player, right? I was like, what does that mean? He says, you're always looking to hit the home run. So when you hit it, it's good news. But when you miss, the rest of us have to turn our face because it looks pretty bad, right?

And I came to tell you today, you do not have to be a swing for the fences type Christian. Because when you hit the ball and when you hit the mark, but also when you don't, he still shows up. When you pray consistently and even when you get off track, he still shows up. When you call on him, when you hit the mark, and when you don't, he still shows up. This is heaven's power that you get to tap into, right?

So you get heaven's attention and then you get heaven's power. Because heaven's power is never something you can achieve. It is always something you receive. If we continue on in the story, verse 39 says, when all the people saw this, they fell and cried. The Lord, he the is God.

The Lord, he is God. The people see the miracle and they immediately respond with worship. Or it does not say they sang a song. Because worship is not limited to a song on a Sunday. Worship is a rightly postured heart.

So after you get heaven's power, you then Give heaven appreciation, right? That's what worship is, giving God an appreciation for all the things he's done and all the things he's literally in the middle of doing. You got to give heaven appreciation. In the 5th century, there was this early church Father, just simply meaning there's somebody. We read a lot in school, right?

That's what that means. Early church Father, Right. His name's Augustine, Augustine of Hippo. And he wrote about this term called ordo amoris. Ordo amoris.

So when you leave church and you go home and have dinner with the people who didn't make it to church today, you tell them ordo amoris, they're going to be really impressed. It's like, wow, you guys got really deep at crossroads today, right? Order amoris means that our lives are not rightly ordered. It simply means the order of love. Augustine believed most of our problems in life come from loving things in the wrong order.

And when our love gets out of order, our life gets out of order. See, when success is first, we live stressed. When approval is first, we live anxious. When control is first, we live overwhelmed. Oh, but when God is first, everything else finds its proper place in our life.

And that's really what worship is doing in this moment for the people of Israel. These were people who were literally worshiping other gods, other false gods. They are literally breaking the ten commandments that God had given them. These people were people who had their loves and their life out of order. But then we see they fall down and they cry and they say, the Lord, he is God.

The Lord he is God. They are putting their loves back in order. They are putting God back in the center of their lives. And the truth is this. Today, sometime Tuesday, feels overwhelming.

Not because life is impossible, but because our priorities have shifted. Our loves have drifted. Our lives have gotten out of order. Work becomes first. Performance becomes first.

Pressure becomes first. Deadlines become first. Stress becomes first. I've had the privilege of studying the Bible and theology for five years now at undergrad and grad level. We can write so many papers about God.

I've literally been in seasons where I'm writing papers about scripture. Yet I've gotten away from reading scripture for my personal nourishment. Because we can be around the things of God, what we can be hearing about God, but not encountering God. And this is why it's so good that you're at a church that believes in encountering God. Sunday after Sunday after Sunday, because worship resets our order.

Worship gets you back on track. So if you are in the room today. And maybe you came in, you hadn't been following Jesus, or maybe you have followed Jesus and you have gotten back on track. Let me tell you this one thing today, it doesn't take years or months to get back on track. You don't have to do enough because he said you already are enough.

It just takes one moment and worship saying, lord, I know I've been off track, but I'm putting you back in the center. And you don't have to have a fancy prayer to pray. Elijah prayed a pretty fancy prayer, but because of everything Jesus did, his name became a prayer all by itself. So maybe you don't know all the worship lyrics like I do. I make them up.

I don't even know what I be seeing sometimes. But I know there is one name that I can call on when things get dark. And it is the name above every name. It is the name of Jesus. When dark seasons come, call on that name Jesus.

When good seasons come, call on that name, Jesus. When you need help, say Jesus. When you need a protector, call on the name of Jesus. Oh, I don't just get excited about that because I'm from further south. No, no, I get excited because that's the good news, that he came and did everything you and I needed him to do.

And that's what worship is, acknowledging. That's what worship is helping us appreciate. So worship recenters, you, worship realigns, you, worship refocuses you. Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do in heaven meet your Tuesday is simply say, God, you're still first in my life. I know what meetings I have today.

I know I gotta sit through the car line for a whole lot of time. I know I gotta cook dinner for the kids. And I know I gotta be the best wife or husband today. And I know I gotta do all the things, and I know but God in all of that, you are still first. No matter what may come God, you're still first.

My life may be a mess, but you're still first. My life might feel unorganized. My Google calendar might look unorganized, but God, you are still first. My life might be out of order, but Jesus, we're putting you back at the center. I like that image.

Sometimes we like to rank things, right? Like God here, then family. But I like this image of God being at the center because everything in my life has to touch the center. My finances has to be connected to the center. Our marriages have to be connected to the center.

Everything has to be connected to the center. In our life. And that's what we're doing. We're putting God back in the center. We're getting back on track.

So after the people fall down and declare the Lord he is God, the moment on Mount Carmel comes to an end. Oh, the story doesn't stay on the mountain, just like life does not just stay on the mountaintop. Moments, King Ahab goes home, and he tells Jezebel everything that happened. And I see it playing out like this. Like, King Ahab goes home, and Queen Jezebel was like, well, how was your day?

And he was like, okay. She's like, what happened? And he was just like, well, all the people under our control turn back to God. What's for dinner? You know, like, he tried to move on very quickly.

She was like, no, no, no. I'm gonna need some details. Who's the ringleader? Right? King Ahab like, oh, you know, the ringleader.

Elijah again, right? And then Queen Jezebel sends a message. She says, by this time tomorrow, he will be dead. Oh, come on. That's not the text we want to receive, Right?

That's not the work email we want to receive, right? She says, by tomorrow, he will be dead. If you look in the niv, the nrsv, the King James version, right? There's no question mark there. It's a period.

She said, guarantee, I'm standing on business. Tomorrow he will be dead. The prophet who just saw fire fall from heaven suddenly finds himself overwhelmed. The adrenaline has faded. The pressure has returned.

And it says, scripture says, Elijah was afraid. And Elijah runs into his wilderness. He collapses under a tree, and he falls asleep. And this is where God meets him again. Then he laid down under the bush and fell asleep.

All at once, an angel touched him and said, get up and eat. He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then laid down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, get up and eat, for the journey is. Is too much for you.

So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled 40 days and 40 nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. Let's see what happens in this moment. Elijah just experienced one of the greatest miracles in scripture. The nation, the people of God, had an altar call, and they came back to worshiping the Lord.

The people fell down and cried. This is a good moment. But right after that victory, Jezebel threatens to kill him. And the prophet who just Stood boldly on the mountain, runs for his life. In fact, the Bible tells us he ran all the way to Beersheba, nearly 100 miles.

Now, I'm not like Pastor Jessica, and I don't run in the woods and in the jungle, wherever she was running this past week, right? Running 100 miles. Oh, fear can land you in places, you and I, in places that God never intended us to be in. He runs a hundred miles away because sometimes after victory, the weight of everything hits you. He's exhausted, he's afraid, he's overwhelmed.

And he collapses under a tree and he falls asleep. But here's what I love about this passage. God does not abandon him in the wilderness. Instead, the Bible says an angel touches him and says, get up and eat. How many people know that right there is good news?

Wake up from your nap and eat. Come on. The Lord is working. Come on. He is good and faithful.

Get up and eat, it says. And when Elijah looks up, there is bread and water waiting for him. He eats, he drinks, and then he falls asleep again. Then the angel comes back a second time and says something important. He says, get up and eat.

Come on. Double blessing for the journey is too much for you. Did you catch that? God acknowledges something that Elijah is feeling. The journey is too much for you.

In other words, God is saying you're not crazy for feeling overwhelmed. You're not weak for feeling tired. The journey really is heavy. But the story doesn't end with Elijah staying under the tree. See, verse eight says, Strengthened by that food, he traveled 40 days and 40 nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God.

So after we get heaven's power and we give heaven appreciation, we then get heaven's assignment. You get heaven's assignment for what's next? See, heaven didn't just meet Elijah with power. Heaven met Elijah with direction. Our last point is to get heaven's assignment because that's where a lot of people are on Tuesday.

You don't know what's coming next. You're overwhelmed in what you're standing in right now. You're overwhelmed in what you're living in right now. And you're wondering, what next. And the same God who sent the fire on Mount Carmel was not preparing Elijah for his next assignment.

See, the bread wasn't just about survival. No, no. The bread was about strength for the journey ahead. And sometimes, when heaven meets your Tuesday, God doesn't just send fire. Sometimes he sends bread.

Because there is still an assignment for you. Oh, there's somebody in the house that needs to hear that today there is a next in your journey. What you see now is not what you will always see. He's using this season to prepare you for something next. Keep your hope, keep your faith.

There is something next. I can remember a season of my life when I was an undergrad and I was struggling a little bit because I was trying to figure out my calling and my purpose for life.

Or if you're a more mature person in the room today, give us young adults just a little bit of grace as we figure it out. Oh, we need your voice in our life. Right. Because we're trying to figure out our calling, our mission. What.

What are we doing?

And I remember I was sitting in chapel and everything, this great preacher by the name of Pastor Derek Amsler, you might have heard of him, and he was preaching a missions conference. So he preached on living with mission. And I sat in this room that we were in and I said, lord, I know you got a mission for other people. Do you have a mission for me? I know you got a call for other people.

Do you have a call for me? You know what's funny? At this point in life, I was already starting to preach a little bit. I was getting a few invitations here and there, but I haven't. I hadn't given God my full yes yet.

I hadn't given God my full yes yet. See, I was a music major. Like, I'm here on a tuba scholarship. I played the tuba. Why am I preaching like this wasn't a part of my plan?

Not only that, I told you, I grew up in a single parent household, meaning my mom had to hold the fort down because my dad was in and out of my life. And my mom did such a great job growing up. I don't know if I really felt anything growing up. You know, I had some feelings here and there. But then I get to Southeastern University and people's dad are flying in for move in day, and people's dads are just flying in to hang out.

I'm like, we're in the middle of Lakeland, Florida. There's nothing to do, but their dads are still coming to hang out. So now I'm dealing with some feelings. I'm like, are these new feelings? Have they always been here?

So I'm confused on my calling. I'm confused about family. A few weeks after Pastor Derek preached, we had our yearly Southeastern Conference. Great worship leaders came and great preachers came. I remember I was sitting in a session, I was sitting in a chair similar to that.

And I Heard God speak. Oh, he didn't give me details about my mission. No, no. He said, keep living by faith and preach the good news. Let me tell you, that sounds great, but that is not specific.

That could mean a whole lot of things. Right. But there was this inner peace that heaven was with me. Right. I got the chance to get heaven's attention, and I got heaven power.

It doesn't always look like fire. Sometimes it can look like a spoken word at the right time. Sometimes it looks like somebody at church coming to give you a random hug. And because they don't know what your Tuesday looked like this week.

Tuesday, it's something. It's hard. It's overwhelming. You feel outnumbered. I want you to think about your Tuesday.

Maybe it's not a physical day on the calendar. Maybe it's the season that you're in. Think about your Tuesday and what you're going through. What I loved about sitting in that moment, though, is that I realized that heaven met me in the middle. Heaven met me in the middle of my question.

Heaven met me in the middle of my confusion. Heaven met me in the middle of my pressure. I want to ask you to stand to your feet today.

Oh. Because I know that there is a God who will meet you on Tuesday. There's a God who will meet you in the middle of your question. Heaven will meet you in the middle of your down seasons. Heaven will meet you in the middle of your mountain.

Whether you're on the mountaintop moment or you're sleeping by a tree, I know heaven will meet you. I wonder if there's a few people in the room that need heaven to come. Is there a few people in the room that need heaven's power? Is there a few people in the room that need heaven's grace? I believe that the power of God will meet you right where you are.

If you're in the mountaintop. If you're going through darkness, if you're going through a dark season, if you're going through a dry season, he will meet you right where you are. I believe by faith that God will meet you. That heaven will restore on that heaven will show up. When heaven meet Tuesday, he will meet you right where you are.

He'll meet you on Tuesday. Can we pray today? Lord, we thank you for meeting us on Tuesday. You are so good. You are so faithful, Lord, for those of us in the room who are off track, Lord, we pray the simple prayer.

Lord, you are our God. Lord, you get us back on track. Lord, we love you. We worship you. We put our faith in you, Lord.

Do something true and speak something new to our hope and our liberating king. All of God's people said a strong amen and amen.
