Our Beliefs & Values

Crossroads Church exists to share the hope found in Jesus Christ. We believe God's heart is that every person would know and experience His love in a personal relationship with him.

Core Values

Know God

More than practicing religion, God wants a real relationship with you. Whether you're new to the faith, have questions, or have been a Christian for a long time, our weekend experiences are a welcoming place to learn more about what it means to know God and grow in your relationship with Him.

Find Freedom

God wants us to live our lives to the fullest. One of His ways for us to do that is in community with others. At Crossroads Church, we intentionally pursue relationships through Connect Groups - a weekly or bi-weekly gathering to share life with and to grow in community.

Discover Purpose

We're all an important part of God's plan. And our lives make the most sense when we discover His purpose for us.

Growth Track is designed to help us take steps in this important process. It's made up of two simple steps (the first and second Sunday of the month) during our 9.00a experience.

Make a Difference

God's climate plan for us is to make a difference in the lives of others. The Bible tells us that when we do, we'll experience true joy.

Through Crossroads Church Serve Team (our volunteers), we hope to connect every person to an opportunity to grow in their purpose. You can take steps to join the Serve Team by attending Growth Track.

Our Values

Our Message: Jesus

We believe our salvation and hope is found only in Jesus.

Our Heart: People

We are for people. We make no apologies for being focused on reaching those far from God. We believe that nothing is more fun than following God with people you love.

Our Privilege: Generosity

We see generosity as a privilege. We give up things we love for things we love even more. We are generous with our time, talents and treasures to build the kingdom of God.

Our Spirit: Excellence

We always bring our best. We're punctual, purposeful and prepared. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. We believe excellence honors God and inspires people.

Our Identity: Servant Leadership

We lead by serving others. Our mission is always greater than the position, knowing God works through our work no matter what our work is. We enthusiastically serve to build.

Our Calling: Honor

We give honor. We set others up to win. We celebrate and champion those God has placed around us.

Our Pursuit: Passion

We hustle and are driven to reach people for the kingdom of heaven. Everything we do, we do with passion because Jesus passionately pursued us.

Our Vision: Reach

We reach with purpose to make a difference in the community and beyond. We are faith-filled, big-thinking, risk-taking visionaries to see the opportunity to impact the world around us.

Our Beliefs

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, divinely inspired; that it contains no errors in the original manuscripts and is preserved by God for us; it is authoritative for this church and each of us for every age.

2 Timothy 3:15-17 [NIV]
1 Thessalonians 2:13 [NIV]
2 Peter 1:21 [NIV]

We believe in one living and true God, eternal and of infinite power, wisdom, goodness and righteousness. He is a loving and faithful God who is the Creator and preserver of all things.

Deuteronomy 6:4 [NIV]
Isaiah 43:10,11 [NIV]
Matthew 28:19 [NIV]
Luke 3:22 [NIV]

Jesus Christ

We believe in the divine nature of Jesus Christ, God’s only son, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin named Mary. Christ is both fully man and fully God. His purpose is to restore our relationship to God, which was broken by sin (disobedience). Christ rose from the dead and ascended into heaven in full victory over Satan and sin.

Matthew 1:23 [NIV] | Luke 1:35 [NIV]
Hebrews 7:26 [NIV] | 1 Peter 2:22 [NIV]
Acts 2:22 [NIV] | Acts 10:38 [NIV]
1 Corinthians 15:3 [NIV] | Matthew 28:6 [NIV] Luke 24:39 [NIV] | 1 Corinthians 15:4 [NIV] Acts 1:9 [NIV] | Acts 1:11 [NIV]
Acts 2:33 [NIV] | Philippians 2:9-11 [NIV] Hebrews 1:3 [NIV]

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the person and expression of God who lives within us, giving us the power to live a holy life and guiding us to truth. His presence is what makes Crossroads Church unique. His absence is what makes church and religion boring and lifeless. When Jesus said I must leave, but I won’t leave you alone, it is the Holy Spirit that He sent to us.

An overflowing fullness of the Spirit
John 7:37-39 [NIV], Acts 4:8 [NIV]

A deepened reverence for God
Acts 2:43 [NIV], Hebrews 12:28 [NIV]

An intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work
Acts 2:42 [NIV]

A more active love for Christ, for His Word and for the lost
Mark 16:20 [NIV]

Because people are unable to save themselves from their sinful condition, salvation is altogether the work of God. Neither good works nor self-improvement can make up for our sin. Salvation is the free gift of God. However, like any gift it must be received. This gift is received by faith, which is believing and trusting in Jesus Christ who died as our substitute that we might live.

Luke 24:47 [NIV] | John 3:3 [NIV]
Romans 10:13-15 [NIV] | Ephesians 2:8 [NIV] Titus 2:11 [NIV] | Titus 3:5-7 [NIV]

Water baptism is the outward expression of an inward decision to put your faith in Jesus — and the first biblical step after Salvation. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, we encourage you to sign up to be water baptized and to invite your friends and family to celebrate with us.
Mark 1.9-10 [NIV] | Matthew 10.32 [NIV]
